THE FEAR OF EXAMS!
One day, while I was in my office, a parent walked up to me and asked this one simple question. “Pavan, my son is in tenth grade. The pre-board exams are near, and my child doesn’t study at all. He always wants to play games and watch videos on my phone. If I make him study, he will end up doodling on the last pages of the notebook. I am terrified that he might fail. Please tell me what to do and how do I make him study?”
This is one of the most common questions asked to me in my two decades of teaching and training. Most parents have this fear of their children failing in their tenth grade. And righteously the children as well contribute to the concern of their parents by not studying. As the exams near, the parents often end up with a dictate barring their children the gadgets. There are also parents who end up locking their children inside a room for hours believing that they would study.
ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE PARENTS WHO FEAR THAT YOUR CHILD MIGHT FAIL THE EXAM?
ARE YOU A PARENT WHOSE CHILD DOES EVERYTHING EXCEPT STUDYING?
